Tieschowitz of Tieschowa is the name of a Bohemian letter noble race, the on Nicholas Tiessowsky back (also Tieschowski). He was the master of Czieschawa in the Lublinitz district in the Principality of Opole and first appeared in a document in 1542.

Nobility

In 1605 the family received the Bohemian nobility for the brothers Albrecht, Johann, Andreas and Martin Tieschowitz, as well as for their cousins Matthäus and Johann Gralff. Albrecht and Johann von Tieschowitz received the Bohemian knightly nobility with the addition of Tieschowa to their name in 1625.

The 1605 awarded coat of arms shows in blue on green triple mount a forward swept schwertumgürteten Ge harnischten whose balaclava is sullied with two golden ostrich feathers. In his hands he is holding two upward-sloping golden lances in front of him . On the helmet with blue and gold covers the inclined lances between 2 buffalo horns divided by gold and blue across the corner.
