Tiles is an American progressive - hard rock band that in 1993 in Detroit was founded.
Band history
The band released their self-titled debut album in 1995. It was in the tradition of Rush and earned Tiles good reviews. The second album Fence the Clear was released in 1997 by InsideOut Music , after which Mark Evans left the band temporarily. With Pat DeLeon on drums, Tiles recorded Presents of Mind , which borrows from progressive metal and, together with its predecessor, is one of the most successful albums of the band. The 1999 release was followed by a European tour supporting Dream Theater . After Window Dressing , which came out in 2004, Mark Evans returned to the band. In 2008 Fly Paper was published in the original line-up . Alannah Myles and Alex Lifeson were involved as guest musicians. After two live-in-studio recordings, the double album Pretending 2 Run was released in 2016 , which was recorded with numerous guest musicians, among others. a. Ian Anderson , Adam Holzman and Mike Portnoy .
