Till David Gloger (born January 26, 1993 in Bochum ) is a German basketball player . The 2.04-meter-tall winger is under contract with the second division Rostock Seawolves .

Player career

Gloger comes from the Bochum district of Wiemelhausen , did athletics in his youth at TV Wattenscheid 01 (his special disciplines were high jump and hurdles ) and played basketball for BG Südpark Bochum. In the 2009/10 season he ran for the syndicate of the Metropol Baskets Ruhr in the youth basketball league (NBBL) and moved to the Paderborn Baskets for the 2010/11 season . He was also used in the NBBL for East Westphalia and was named NBBL Player of the Year after his second season (2011/12). In 2011 he had reached the final of the German Youth Cup in the U18 age group with Paderborn.

Between 2012 and 2016, Gloger played and studied at the University of Maine in the United States . In terms of statistical values, the 2014/15 season was his best overseas, with an average of 11.5 points and 4.8 rebounds in 30 games that year.

After the end of his college career in the spring of 2016, Gloger decided to step into professional basketball and returned to the Paderborn Baskets from the 2nd Bundesliga ProA . He was named “League Newcomer of the Year” by the internet service eurobasket.com , having achieved averages of 14.5 points and 4.5 rebounds in 30 games during the 2016/17 season.

For the 2017/18 season Gloger moved to the newly promoted Bundesliga Mitteldeutscher BC . For the MBC, he was on the field in 29 Bundesliga games and averaged 3.7 points per game. At the beginning of June 2018 Gloger was signed by the Gladiators Trier , so he switched back to the 2nd Bundesliga ProA. Due to an elbow injury that made surgery necessary, Gloger was out at the beginning of the 2018/19 season. In the 2019/20 season, Gloger was the best German scorer in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA with an average of 15.8 points per match.

During the summer break of 2020, Gloger signed a contract with Trier's second division rival Rostock Seawolves .

National team

In the summer of 2017 he was appointed to the German A2 national team for the first time. In August 2017 he took part in the 2017 Summer Universiade in Taipei with the German national student  team.
