Tilomar (Tilômar) is a place of the East Timorese administrative office Tilomar ( municipality of Cova Lima ).

geography

The place is located near the south coast in Suco Lalawa , 98 km as the crow flies southwest of the state capital Dili and about 18 km west of Suai at an altitude of 328  m .

The main town of the administrative office of Tilomar is Casabauc in the Suco of the same name.

history

In late 1975, Indonesia invaded East Timor. On December 25th, the Indonesian army occupied Tilomar. Much of the population fled to Mount Taroman . The occupation of East Timor lasted until 1999.

Infrastructure

Tilomar has a primary school ( Escola Primaria Lalawa ), a helipad and a medical station.
