Timofei Pawlowitsch Mosgow ( Russian Тимофей Павлович Мозгов ; English transcription: Timofey Mozgov ; born July 16, 1986 in Leningrad ) is a Russian basketball player who is currently under contract with BK Khimki in the Professionalnaja Basketbolnaja League . With a height of 2.16 meters, Mosgow is used in the center position. Mosgow played a total of 494 games in the North American professional league NBA between 2010 and 2019 .

Career

Early years

Mosgow began his professional career with LenVo St. Petersburg during the 2004/05 season, in 2006 he moved to the second team of ZSK WWS Samara. Before the 2006/07 season he moved to BK Chimki and ran there in the Superleague Russia .

NBA

In 2010, Mosgow signed a three-year deal worth $ 9.7 million with the New York Knicks in the NBA .

On January 30, 2011, he was granted longer playing time for the first time in the game against the Detroit Pistons . This game was his best in his NBA career to date with 23 points. He played a total of 40 minutes and got loud cheers from the fans at the end of the game.
