Timor Oliver Chadik

Timor Oliver Chadik (* 1976 in Bangkok ) is a German bandmaster and staff officer . He holds the rank of lieutenant colonel and is currently leading the Bundeswehr Big Band in Euskirchen.

Chadik completed his music studies with Hermann Dechant and Peter Falk at the University of Music Würzburg and graduated in 2000 with a diploma. He then completed a master class , which he graduated with honors in 2002.

This was followed by an engagement at the Dortmund Opera , where he last worked as second conductor, where he directed various productions such as Der Postillon von Lonjumeau , Der Bettelstudent and West Side Story and opera performances by La Boheme , Eugen Onegin , Turandot and Nabucco .

From 2004 he held the position of First Kapellmeister at the Darmstadt State Theater . There he directed the premieres of Il barbiere di Siviglia , Abduction from the Seraglio and Sleeping Beauty and conducted other performances of the operas Falstaff , Ariadne auf Naxos and La Traviata .

After joining the German Armed Forces in 2006, he was, among other things, deputy head of the Air Force Music Corps in Münster and the staff music corps until he held the position of chief conductor of the Army Music Corps in Münster from 2012 to 2015 and in 2015 took over the leadership of the big band of the German armed forces.

As a guest conductor he led a. a. the Rhineland-Palatinate State Philharmonic , the Leipzig Radio Wind Orchestra , the Southwest Philharmonic in Hilchenbach , the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra , the Budweis Chamber Philharmonic and the Prime Philharmonic Orchestra in Dej Jeong ( South Korea ). In 2014, Chadik took over the musical direction of the Hilgen Orchestra Association as a guest conductor. a. ranks among the leading symphonic wind orchestras in Germany by winning the German Orchestra Competition several times . In addition, he has been the permanent conductor of the Junge Bläserphilharmonie NRW since 2017 .
