Titular diocese of Athyra

Athyra ( Italian : Atira ) is a titular bishopric of the Roman Catholic Church .

It goes back to a lost bishopric in the ancient city of the same name (today Büyükçekmece ), which was in the late ancient Roman province of Europe (European part of today's Turkey ). The bishopric was assigned to the ecclesiastical province of Heraclea Sintica .
