Louis Nganga a Ndzando

Louis Nganga a Ndzando (* 1923 in Ndeke Mabela ; † February 13, 2014 in Lisala ) was the Roman Catholic Bishop of Lisala in the Democratic Republic of the Congo .

Life

Louis Nganga a Ndzando was ordained priest for the diocese of Lisala on February 22, 1953 .

Pope John XXIII appointed him on April 18, 1961 auxiliary bishop in Lisala and titular bishop of Athyra . The Bishop of Lisala, François Van den Berghe CICM , consecrated him bishop on October 28 of the same year; Co- consecrators were Léon Théobald Delaere OFMCap , Bishop of Molegbe , and Joseph-Albert Malula , Auxiliary Bishop in Léopoldville .

He was a participant in the first, second and fourth sessions of the Second Vatican Council .

Pope Paul VI appointed him Bishop of Lisala on November 25, 1964. On July 6, 1997, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
