Louis Nkinga Bondala

Louis Nkinga Bondala CICM (born June 20, 1937 in Mankanza ) is a Congolese clergyman and emeritus bishop of Lisala .

Life

Louis Nkinga Bondala joined the religious order of the Congregation of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and was ordained a priest on August 7, 1966 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Kole on January 28, 1980 . The Pope personally donated his episcopal ordination on May 4th of the same year; Co - consecrators were Cardinal Agnelo Rossi , Cardinal Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples , and Cardinal Joseph-Albert Malula , Archbishop of Kinshasa .

On March 13, 1996 he was appointed Coadjutor Bishop of Lisala . After Louis Nganga a Ndzando retired , he succeeded him as Bishop of Lisala on July 6, 1997.

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on February 11, 2015.
