Titular Bubastis
Bubastis ( Italian : Bubasti ) is a titular bishopric of the Roman Catholic Church .
The historical diocese was in the Roman province of Aegyptus and in late antiquity Aegyptus Herculea and Augustamnica in the eastern Nile delta . It belonged to the ecclesiastical province of Leontopolis .
In late Roman times ( Roman Late Antiquity / Byzantine Empire ), Bubastis was the seat of a Christian bishop and was united with the diocese of Khandek in the Middle Ages .
