Titular diocese of Marcopolis
Marcopolis ( Italian : Marcopoli ) is a titular bishopric of the Roman Catholic Church .
It goes back to an earlier diocese in the Roman province of Mesopotamia or in late antiquity Osrhoene in Syria east of the Euphrates . The diocese belonged to the ecclesiastical province of Edessa .
