Titular diocese of Scardona

Scardona is a titular bishopric of the Roman Catholic Church .

It goes back to an earlier diocese in the Roman province of Dalmatia or Dalmatia Inferior in the city of Skradin , which was assigned to the ecclesiastical province of Salona . The last bishop was Jean Dominique Altei , who died in 1808. In 1813 the diocese was abolished and the territory was annexed to the Šibenik diocese . In 1969 it was made by Pope Paul VI. Renewed as a titular seat.
