The manga was adapted as two anime television series, as an OVA series, as a radio play and as two video games for the Playstation Portable and the Nintendo DS . Since 2010, To Love-Ru Darkness has been a sequel to the manga, which was adapted as an OVA and anime television series in 2012.
action
The 15-year-old student Rito Yūki ( 結 城 梨 斗 ) is in love with his classmate Haruna Sairenji ( 西 連 寺 春 菜 ), but never manages to confess his love to her because something always comes up like a curse. So he enjoys a bath and can't keep his thoughts off her when suddenly a naked girl falls into the tub with him. It is Princess Lala Satalin Deviluke ( デ ビ ル ー ク サ タ リ ン ラ ラ ) heir to the throne of the planet Deviluke . She is on the run from her father because he urges her to marry, but none of the candidates suit her. After her spaceship was shot down, Lala teleported to Earth and landed in Rito's arms. After this initial shock for Rito, he finds out that Lala has fallen in love with him and wants to marry him in order to be able to stay on earth.
Her revealing and naive manner make him sweat a lot. She has no problem sharing a bed with him, admitting in front of Rito's class that he is her fiancé, and unconsciously builds an additional wall between Rito and Haruna, who can no longer decide which of the two to go really loves. To make matters worse , Lala's bodyguard Zastin ( ザ ス テ ィ ン ) appears, whom he accidentally defeats in the first fight. Zastin is so convinced of this and the words that he can only marry someone he loves that he puts in a good word for Rito with the Emperor of Deviluke . The catch, however, is that he must now absolutely become Lala's husband and protect her from her fiancé. If he fails, the emperor threatens to kill Rito and destroy the earth.
After these introductory events, there are many short arcs that either deal with various fiancés trying to kidnap Lala or embarrassing situations that Lala gets into Rito. Nevertheless, Lala quickly became popular at Rito's school and became friends with Haruna, among others.
The initial storyline continues when Lala's father comes down to earth to announce that Rito has been selected as her future husband. However, Lala has now realized that Rito really loves another girl and refuses to marry him. She wants to erase the memories of all people on earth by means of a memory eraser she invented so that she can start over on earth. However, it later turns out that their invention didn't work and everyone kept their memories.
