Tobias Eder

Tobias Eder (* 1966 in Rheinfelden (Baden) ) is a German visual artist .

Life

From 1983 to 1986 Tobias Eder trained as a sculptor with his father Leonhard Eder . From 1989 he studied sculpture at the Karlsruhe Art Academy with Michael Sandle . In 1990 he moved to the Munich Art Academy , where he continued his studies with Hans Ladner and became his master class in 1995 .

In 2002 Eder received the Darmstadt Secession Award for Sculpture.

From 2004 to 2009 Eder was a member of the Commission for Art and Culture of the Archdiocese of Freiburg and from 2002 to 2008 chairman of the “Association of Christian Artists Archdiocese of Freiburg” (GCK); he lives and works in Freiburg im Breisgau and Rheinfelden (Baden). Tobias Eder is the older brother of the sculptor Matthias Eder .
