Tobias Jugelt (born July 3, 1975 in Delmenhorst ) is a German chess player .

Life

Tobias Jugelt attended the Fachgymnasium Wirtschaft in Delmenhorst and studied at the University of Bremen .

successes

In 1995 he finished second behind Arnd Lauber and Daniel Hausrath at the German U20 championship in Leipzig . Jugelt has won open city championships several times, for example Delmenhorst 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2001, Syke 1998, Diepholz 2004 and Bremen 1999, 2001, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2016.

He played club chess at the Delmenhorster Schachklub , with which he was represented in the highest German league, the Chess League , in the seasons 1996/97 , 1998/99 and 2010/11 . He has been playing for Werder Bremen's second team since 2013 . In between in the 2000s he was also a member of the Diepholz association SG Sankt Hülfe .

Since October 2009 he has held the title of International Master . He achieved the standards for this in the 1998/99 chess league season with over-fulfillment, in which he won against Grandmaster Klaus Bischoff , among others , and also with over-fulfillment at the 73rd German individual championship in 2001 in Altenkirchen (Westerwald) , in which he against GM Arkadij, among others Naiditsch and GM Matthias Wahls won, as well as at a First Saturday GM tournament in July 2009 in Budapest .
