The Tok ( Russian Ток ) is a right tributary of the Samara in southeastern European Russia .
course
The Tok rises in the east of Orenburg Oblast in the Obschtschi Syrt ridge near the border with Bashkortostan . At first it flows to the northwest. After the confluence of the Molotschai , it turns to the west and flows in gentle curves through heavily used agricultural area. During its entire course, the Tok receives numerous smaller steppe rivers. A few kilometers east of the city of Buzuluk the river finally flows into the Samara.
The tok is usually frozen from mid-November to April. Because of the low water flow, it is unsuitable for shipping.
