Tollef Østvang

Tollef Østvang (* 1985 in Røros ) is a Norwegian jazz and improvisation musician (drums).

Østvang first played in the formation Friends & Neighbors in his home country , with which the first recordings were made in 2012 ( Hymn for a Hungry Nation , with Thomas Johansson, Andre Roligheten, Oscar Gronberg, Jon Rune Strøm ). In 2014 he recorded the album Melted Snow in a trio with Martin Küchen and Jon Rune Strøm for NoBusiness Records . He also worked with Joe McPhee and John Dikeman ( Universal Indians ), as well as Ab Baars , Ig Henneman , Tobias Delius , Wolter Wierbos , Eric Boeren , Michael Moore , Wilbert de Joode , Dave Rempis , Lasse Marhaug , Josh Berman , Keefe Jackson and Jaap Blonk , 2018 in a duo with Mars Williams . Østvang lives in Trondheim.
