Tomáš Galis
Tomáš Galis (born December 22, 1950 in Selice , Czechoslovakia ) is a Slovak clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Žilina .
Life
Tomáš Galis received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Banská Bystrica on June 6, 1976 .
On August 28, 1999 appointed him Pope John Paul II. To the titular of Bita and ordered him auxiliary bishop in Banská Bystrica. The bishop of Banská Bystrica, Rudolf Baláž , donated him episcopal ordination on September 25 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the auxiliary bishop emeritus in Banská Bystrica, Peter Dubovský SJ , and the apostolic nuncio in Slovakia , Archbishop Luigi Dossena . On February 14, 2008 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to the Bishop of Žilina. The inauguration took place on March 15 of the same year.
