Tom Grant (* 20th century ) is a film producer who was nominated for an Oscar and an Emmy .

Career

Grant's film career began in 1996 when he was second assistant director on the drama Manny & Lo and starred Scarlett Johansson . He also pursued this activity at John Hamburg's film Die Safe-Specialists in 1998. In the same year he was responsible for the first time as a producer for the film drama Windhorse by Paul Wagner . He then worked as a producer on the episode Tattoos: Skin Deep for MSNBC and its TV series MSNBC Investigates . He then produced a short film with Irene Taylor Brodsky on the fight against poliomyelitis , which was released under the title The Final Inch . The recordings of the production were shot in 2007 and were made in India and Afghanistan , among others . Google supported the financing of the film . For his participation in the documentary The Final Inch , he received a nomination at the Academy Awards 2009 in the category " Best Documentary Short Film ". In addition, Grant received a nomination for the News & Documentary Emmy Awards at the 2010 Emmy Awards .

Tom Grant then worked as a producer on the reality TV series Sons of Guns from 2011 to 2012 .
