Thomas Körbler (* 1968 in Augsburg ) is a German music producer and audio engineer. He works as an independent producer and mix engineer in Berlin and Augsburg, current productions are Beatsteaks vs. Dirk von Lowtzow - French disco for the movie Tschick, Carpet - Secret Box, Benni Benson - Everything is honest, marathon man - My life is yours.

Life

At the age of eight, Tom Körbler achieved his musicality by rejecting the music lessons he was planning and learning guitar and drums on his own. As a guitarist and singer, he performed with various punk, rock and new wave bands in the mid-80s. During this time, he used the band's own recording equipment as an introduction to recording studio technology and supervised the first recordings in the local band scene.

As a live sound engineer he was u. a. for Girls Against Boys and their label Touch and Go Records , Fugazi , Cake Like , Acetone, Neil Young's label Vapor Records, Melissa Auf der Maur , Sick of It All , Snapcase , Grotus and Alternative Tentacles , Die Toten Hosen , Atari Teenage Riot committed . Since 1999 he has worked as a live mix engineer for the Berlin band Beatsteaks and as a co-producer and recording engineer for individual productions such as the live album Kanonen auf Spatzen (2008).
