Tom Strohbach (born May 27, 1992 in Schwerin ) is a German volleyball player . He grew up in Neustadt-Glewe .

Career

Strohbach started his volleyball career in 2007. First he played in his hometown for Schweriner SC . Then he was trained by the youngsters of the VC Olympia Berlin . With the German junior national team, he finished sixth in the European Championship in 2010 and tenth place in the World Cup in Brazil in 2011. In the same year, the outside attacker switched to the first division club Generali Haching , with whom he became German runner-up in 2012 and DVV cup winner in 2013 . In 2013, Strohbach also had his first games in the German national team . He was nominated as a Libero for the EM in Denmark and Poland , but was not used. He gained further experience in 2015 at the European Games in Baku , which ended with gold. Strohbach played 36 times for the senior national team.

After Unterhaching's withdrawal from the volleyball league , Strohbach moved to the first division TV Rottenburg for the 2014/15 season . In 2016 he moved to league competitor TSV Herrsching . In the 2018/19 season he played in the Italian Serie A for Tonno Callipo Vibo Valentia .
