Tom Wörndl

Tom Wörndl (born 1989 in Rosenheim ) is a German guitarist and theater musician . He is one of the founding members of the band Levantino .

Life, work

Wörndl graduated from the University of Music in Nuremberg and graduated in jazz guitarist . Together with the brothers Michl and Max Bloching, he founded the band Levantino in 2010 , whose repertoire ranges between indie , world music and jazz . He also plays in the band Tones . In 2013 Levantino signed a record deal and released the debut album Chapter One in March of the following year .

Since 2013, Wörndl has been working regularly with the theater director Christian Stückl , the artistic director of the Munich Volkstheater . He composed the incidental music for the production of the play Ghetto by Joshua Sobol there , and Stückl staged it. The whole band Levantino also appeared in this production . A series of productions followed in Munich and guest contracts at the Burgtheater in Vienna and Kampnagel in Hamburg . The productions developed together with Stückl also included two world premieres - Siegfried by Feridun Zaimoglu and Günter Senkel (2015 in Munich) and Der Rüssel by Wolfgang Bauer (2018 in Vienna).
