Levantino is a band from Bad Aibling , Upper Bavaria , which consists of the brothers Michl and Max Bloching and Tom Wörndl . The trio moves between indie , world music and jazz .

history

Levantino emerged from a school band at the Bad Aibling grammar school . The current members played together for the first time in 2007. The current line-up has been performing under the name Levantino since 2010.

Initially, Levantino was primarily a live band that was booked for parties or as background music. The band's repertoire mainly included klezmer and music from the Mediterranean region .

The second self-published Levantino EP , which was recorded in 2011 after a trip to the Mediterranean and a street music tour, attracted more attention and concerts in Germany, Italy and Switzerland.

In 2013, Max Bloching was the last band member to leave school and the band signed a recording deal with GLM Music . The debut album Chapter One was released on March 28, 2014.

Since November 2013 the members of Levantino have been playing the play Ghetto by Joshua Sobol as part of a production by Christian Stückl at the Munich Volkstheater .

On March 28, 2014, the debut album "Chapter One" was officially presented at the start of the tour in the Milla Club.
