Tomasz Copik (born April 5, 1978 in Knurów ) is a former Polish football player . He is known by his teammates and the general public by the nickname "Copa" .

Career

In his youth, Copik played for Jedność 32 Przyszowice. About Gwarek Zabrze he came in January 1997 to the first division club Górnik Zabrze . On May 30, 1998, the 31st match day of the 1997/98 season , Copik made his debut in professional football when he was substituted on in the home game against OKS Stomil Olsztyn (2: 3) in the 76th minute for Maciej Krzętowski . It was his only use for Górnik Zabrze in the Ekstraklasa. In the 1998/99 season he played for Naprzód Rydułtowy and in the first half of 1999/2000 for Polonia Bytom . From 2000 to 2002 Copik played for the first time for Odra Opole . In the summer of 2002 he moved to the first division club Pogoń Szczecin , where he played eight games. From January 2003 to summer 2004 he played for Górnik Łęczna and rose with the club in summer 2003 from the second division to the Ekstraklasa. He played a total of 28 games and scored two goals. In the summer of 2004 he moved to the second division team Szczakowianka Jaworzno . There he came to 29 missions in the 2004/05 season and scored three goals. In the first half of 2005/06, however, he was suspended from the first team and played for the second team. For the second half of 2005/06 he therefore moved to league rivals KSZO Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski . There he played 30 games and scored three goals before moving to Odra Opole for the second time in January 2007. In the summer of 2008 he rose to the second division with the club. In total, he came to 58 missions and scored eight times. In January 2009 he moved to league rivals GKS 1962 Jastrzębie , with whom he was relegated to the third division . By the winter break of 2009/10 he made 27 appearances and scored seven goals. In January 2010 he moved back to the first division for MKS Kluczbork . After 37 appearances, five goals scored and relegation in the summer of 2011, he left the club in the direction of Olimpia Grudziądz . After only five appearances in the second division in the first half of 2011/12 Copik moved back to Odra Opole, who played in the fourth division . In 2015 he moved on to Orzeł Źlinice and ended his career there two years later.
