Tomislav Karajica

Tomislav Karajica (born November 30, 1976 in Hamburg ) is an entrepreneur and investor. He is the owner and founder of the Imvest Group, partner in Edeloptics GmbH and main partner in the Hamburg Towers basketball team .

education

In 1996 Karajica, who grew up in the Hamburg district of Stellingen , finished his education with the Abitur at the Hamburg Albrecht-Thaer-Gymnasium . He completed his studies in 2001 as a graduate engineer in the field of civil engineering at the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg.

Career

After completing his studies, Karajica founded a project and planning office in Hamburg in 2002, which he expanded three years later with the establishment of the Imvest Group to include the project development and property developer business. In March 2006 he had Imvest Projektentwicklung GmbH entered in the commercial register. The company is dedicated to the implementation of property development business, the acquisition of land, the rental and management of real estate, the operation of a planning and engineering office and project development.

Karajica expanded the Imvest group of companies to include companies from the real estate, construction and finance sectors, including Imvest Planen und Bauen GmbH (founded in 2014) as well as Imvest Capital GmbH (founded in 2015) and Imvest Projektvermarktung GmbH (also founded in 2015). In 2014, the Wernst Group was taken over and incorporated into the Imvest Group. Karajica is a member of the Supervisory Board of Wernst Values ​​AG. In 2016 Karajica founded Home United Management GmbH together with Rolf Elgeti.

In 2009, Karajica founded the optics company Edeloptics GmbH together with Dennis Martens, which according to its own information operates online shops in 53 countries as of January 2019, had total assets of 4.6 million euros in the 2016 financial year and achieved sales of almost 22 million euros in 2018.

Sports

Between 1994 and 1996 Karajica was a German karate champion in the kumite category several times in the youth and adult sector .

Among other things, he is involved in the Hamburg association Sport ohne Grenzen , in 2014 he joined the operating company of the professional basketball team Hamburg Towers (Hamburg Towers Basketball-Betriebsgesellschaft mbH). In December 2016 he became an authorized signatory and in September 2017 held around 52 percent of the shares in the Towers operating company.

With its companies Edeloptics and Imvest, Karjica supports the Towers as a sponsor. In May 2017 Edeloptics GmbH took over the naming rights to the home stadium of the Towers, the former Inselparkhalle , which has since been called edel-optics.de Arena . In September 2018 Karajica was elected to the board of directors of Hamburg Towers eV.

In January 2019, Karajica's plan was announced to build a privately financed multi-purpose hall for 7,000 to 8,000 spectators at the Hamburg Elbbrücken with his company Home United Management GmbH under the working title “Elbdome”.

In February 2019 he and his company Home United Management GmbH became the owner of the Austrian soccer team SK Austria Klagenfurt and in April 2019 joined the financially troubled fourth division soccer club Viktoria Berlin .

Tomislav Karajica is married and has one daughter. His brothers Markan Karajica and Zeljko Karajica are both active in the media sector.
