Tommaso Caputo (born October 17, 1950 in Afragola , Province of Naples , Italy ) is a former diplomat of the Holy See and is prelate of the Pompeii Territorial Prelature .

The Archbishop of Naples , Cardinal Corrado Ursi , ordained him on April 10, 1974 .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on 3 September 2007 Titular Archbishop of Otriculum and the Apostolic Nuncio in Malta and Libya and donated to him on 29 September of the same year in St. Peter's Basilica , the episcopal ordination ; Co- consecrators were Cardinal Secretary of State Tarcisio Bertone SDB and Marian Cardinal Jaworski , Archbishop of Lviv .

On November 10, 2012, Benedict XVI appointed him. as Prelate of the Territorial Prelature of Pompei and Papal Delegate for the Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary.

Tommaso Caputo is Grand Officer of the Order of Knights of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem .
