Tommy Chase
Thomas "Tommy" Chase (born March 22, 1947 in Manchester ) is a British jazz musician ( drums , band leader) who plays with extraordinary timing .
Act
Chase is a self-taught drummer and has been a professional musician since the mid-1960s. In 1973 he led his own group with which he performed at the Little Theater Club in London. Mid-1970s were among his band issues kind , Harry Beckett and Dave Cliff . In the 1980s he focused on hard bop and then danceable soul jazz . His band was a very popular live act and was also considered the talent factory of British jazz in the 1990s (and he as the "British Art Blakey "). Chase also accompanied American musicians such as Al Haig , Joe Albany and Jon Eardley and toured Germany.
