Tommy Tabor
Tommy Tabor (* 1982 in Berlin ) is a German politician ( AfD ). Tabor has been a member of the Berlin House of Representatives ( MdA ) since October 25, 2017 .
Live and act
After attending the Martin Buber High School in Berlin-Spandau , Tommy Tabor trained as an industrial clerk (IHK) and insurance specialist (IHK). He then studied business administration and commercial law at the University of Potsdam with a Bachelor of Science degree . After working at Allianz Versicherungs AG from 2010 to 2013 in the Private & Commercial Consulting division, he switched to StepStone as an account manager in 2013 .
Tabor was formerly a member of the Christian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU). As a member of Alternative für Deutschland , he is deputy district chairman and district councilor in Berlin-Spandau. After the integration policy spokesman for the AfD parliamentary group in the House of Representatives, Gottfried Curio, moved into the German Bundestag via the AfD's state list and resigned from his House of Representatives on October 24, 2017, Tabor moved into the Berlin House of Representatives on October 25, 2017 as his successor . For almost a year he was spokesman for consumer protection for the parliamentary group in the House of Representatives. After Jessica Bießmann was expelled from the parliamentary group, he was appointed spokesman for family and vocational education.
Political positions
Tabor denounces the amount of pensions for ex-city councilors and former mayors in Berlin as "inappropriate". In 2019, 173 former district office members received pensions, in 2018 this cost a total of 8,452,612 euros. The entitlements are acquired after eight years of office. Among the recipients are people of retirement age, but also significantly younger, the youngest was 38 years old when he left office. “There is no lower age limit,” criticizes Tabor. His counter-proposal is a transitional allowance limited to a maximum of one year and payment of the pension only at the statutory retirement age. “In addition, there must be a greater graduation according to working hours.
