Tomomi Musembi Takamatsu (born February 23, 2000 ) is a Japanese middle and long distance runner .

Athletic career

Internationally, Tomomi Musembi Takamatsu made his first appearance at the 2017 World Cross Country Championships in Kampala . There she finished 15th in the U20 class in 20:24 minutes. The following year she won the silver medal at the Junior Asian Championships in Gifu 4: 21.65 min and was seventh in the 5000 meter run at the U20 World Championships in Tampere in 15: 55.74 min . At the Asian Championships in Doha 2019 she reached eighth place in 16: 08.16 minutes. She then came in seventh at the Summer Universiade in Naples in 16: 03.57 min.

In 2018 Takamatsu became the Japanese champion in the 1,500 meter run.
