Toni Lauerer

Anton Lauerer (born September 7, 1959 in Furth im Wald ) is a humorous author and cabaret artist from Upper Palatinate . Since 1998 he has been the best-selling author in Eastern Bavaria and one of the most successful Bavarian cabaret artists. He can be heard regularly on the radio station Bayern 1 of Bayerischer Rundfunk, especially in the program "Treffpunkt Ostbayern".

Life

After graduating from the Joseph-von-Fraunhofer-Gymnasium Cham with the Abitur in 1978, he began his specialist studies to become a senior civil servant. Until 1984 Lauerer worked in the government of Upper Bavaria and until 1988 in the government of the Upper Palatinate . Toni Lauerer has been a full-time registrar since 1988 and lives with his wife Gerti in Furth im Wald .

Career

Toni Lauerer tried his hand at writing while still at school. In 1984 he sold his first book "Ned so important" after a few small appearances. From 1991 Lauerer had his first appearances, for example in the TV series Gaudimax or on Radio Ramasuri . In 1995 he brought out his first play, "Paul in the Crisis". Until 2000 Toni Lauerer could be heard and seen in several radio / TV programs. He was also often hired for smaller celebrations.

From 2000 to 2003 Toni was on his first major tour and was put under contract with Bayern 1 . In 2005 one of the largest German-language newspapers in New York took up his work and publishes it regularly. Today he works as a registrar, writes plays and books and performs as a cabaret artist .

In his works, written in the Upper Palatinate dialect , Lauerer devotes himself in an ironic and humorous way to situations and incidents of everyday life of ordinary people, also from a child's point of view. In doing so, Lauerer targets the weaknesses of his fellow human beings in a deliberately exaggerated way. Often the reader finds himself in Lauerer's stories. Lauerer tells his stories from the point of view of invented people, whom he also portrayed in live performances.
