Tonino Picula
Tonino Picula (born August 31, 1961 in Mali Lošinj ) is a Croatian politician.
Life
Tonino Picula studied sociology at the University of Zagreb . He is a member of the Socijaldemokratska partija Hrvatske . From 2000 to 2003 he was Croatia's Foreign Minister, from 2003 he was a member of the Croatian Parliament , and from 2005 to 2009 mayor of Velika Gorica .
Before Croatia's accession to the EU, the Croatian Parliament sent him to the European Parliament as an observer. In the European elections in Croatia in 2013 he was elected to the European Parliament. Picula then resigned his mandate in the Croatian Parliament.
