Gordan Jandroković (born August 2, 1967 in Bjelovar ) is a Croatian politician. From January 2008 to December 2011 he was Croatia's Foreign Minister .

education

Jandroković studied civil engineering from 1986 to 1991 and from 1989 to 1993 political science ( Bachelor ) at the University of Zagreb . From 1996 he attended the diplomatic school of the Croatian Foreign Ministry for one year. In 1995 he attended graduate seminars at the Clingersael Institute for International Relations in The Hague and at the Erasmus University Rotterdam .

Professional career

From 1989 to 1994 Jandroković worked for a private construction company. From 1994 to 2000 he worked in the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In 2000 he returned to the private sector and worked for the Zagreb company Stanić . In 2002 he moved to the Beming company in Bjelovar, his hometown . In 2003 he again took over a political office as a member of parliament. In his first legislative term, he was initially chairman of the parliamentary committee on economics, development and reconstruction and then switched to the foreign affairs committee. At the same time he became chairman of the Croatian delegation to the joint parliamentary committee of Croatia and the European Union . In 2007, his parliamentary mandate was confirmed by the electorate.

From January 2008 to December 2011 he was Croatia's Foreign Minister.

Party offices

Jandroković has been a member of the Hrvatska demokratska zajednica ( Croatian Democratic Union ), the party of the then Croatian President Franjo Tuđman , since 1992 . Jandroković has been chairman of the party committee on issues relating to small and medium-sized enterprises since 2002, and of the committee for the Bjelovar-Bilogora region since 2003. In 2004 he was elected to the party presidium.
