Toploader is a five-piece British rock band formed in Eastbourne in 1997 . With their debut album Onka’s Big Moka , the formation rose to join the ranks of the most famous British alternative rock bands in the summer of 2000 .
History and career
Her biggest hit was Dancing in the Moonlight , her version of King Harvest's 1973 song of the same name, released in 2000. The song can also be heard in the film A Walk to Remember with Shane West and Mandy Moore and was also on the soundtrack released for the film.
However, their popularity dwindled rapidly when bands like Coldplay or Muse changed the sound of the alternative scene permanently.
In 2003 the band broke up, but came back together in 2009. In 2011 the album Only Human was released .
