Jon Miquel Toral Harper (born February 5, 1995 in Reus ) is a Spanish football player .

Career

Jon Toral was born in Reus in the south of Catalonia in 1995 . He began his career in the capital of the Catalonia region with FC Barcelona . Toral played a total of eight years in the club's youth academy before joining Arsenal in England with Héctor Bellerín in 2011 . Toral played for the Gunners in the NextGen Series and the UEFA Youth League . In August 2014 Toral was loaned out to English second division club Brentford for one season . Under Mark Warburton , the 19-year-old talent completed 34 league games in his first professional season and scored six goals. A season later, the Spaniard was loaned to Birmingham City . In July 2016 Toral was awarded to the Spanish first division club Granada CF. The loan contract was prematurely terminated by Arsenal FC in January 2017. Toral was then awarded to the Glasgow Rangers , who were trained by Mark Warburton.
