Torill Thorstad Hauger

Torill Thorstad Hauger (born November 22, 1943 in Oslo ; † July 4, 2014 ) was a Norwegian author of children's and youth literature .

She worked in the Historical Museum in Oslo, where she organized exhibitions on the Viking Age, among other things. Nordic history and mythology often form the background of their books. Her works have been translated into more than 12 languages ​​and have received multiple awards.

The book Sigurd Drakedreper ( Eng . Sigurd the Dragon Slayer) was filmed in 1989 with Kristian Tonby in the lead role.

She died on July 4, 2014.
