The summit can be reached as an easy hike for sure-footed mountain hikers through the Rontal or the Tortal from Hinterriß ( 928 m above sea level ) via the gatarte ( 1815 m above sea level ) (ascent time to the summit: approx. 3:00 hours ( through Tortal), descent time: approx. 2:00 hours (through Rontal), approx. 1100 meters in altitude). The path is only marked as far as the gate, then there are footsteps. Short exposed grass passages have to be overcome when climbing the summit.
