Torsten Bauer

Torsten Bauer (born August 13, 1961 in East Berlin ) is a German actor .

Life

Torsten Bauer was born on the day the Berlin Wall was built in the eastern part of the city. He grew up in Hoyerswerda and graduated from high school in Cottbus. He studied acting at what was then the Konrad Wolf Academy for Film and Television in Potsdam and made his debut at the Hans Otto Theater there . After 1990, Bauer made guest appearances at the Munich Teamtheater , then at the Augsburg Theater , before returning to the Hans-Otto-Theater for a few years. At the beginning of the 2003/04 season he finally moved to the Oberhausen Theater , of which he is still a member today.

Occasionally Bauer also works in front of the camera, making his debut in 1986 in the DEFA strip Blonder Tango . In 1987 director Erwin Stranka cast him with a leading role in the film Liane . In addition, he was involved in several police call 110 episodes.

In addition to acting, Bauer is also active in sports. He runs marathons and triathlons , hiked the entire Camino de Santiago and climbed Mont Blanc in 2009 .
