Torsten W. Müller

Torsten Walter Müller (* 1982 ) is a German historian and publicist . The focus of his work is the Eichsfeld - he is the museum director in Heilbad Heiligenstadt .

Career

Torsten W. Müller studied Catholic theology , German and pedagogy at the University of Erfurt and at the Otto Friedrich University of Bamberg . He received his doctorate in 2014 with his work on church history on expellees in Thuringia after 1945, who was published as the publication In der Fremde - The Effects of Flight and Expulsion in the Eastern Part of the Diocese of Fulda (Würzburg 2015, ISBN 978-3-429-03746-8 ) has been.

Müller's focus as a research assistant at the Research Center for Contemporary Church History in Erfurt (FKZE) was on coming to terms with the history of the Catholic Church in the GDR.

Torsten W. Müller has been a member of the advisory board of the Verein für Eichsfeldische Heimatkunde (VEH) since 2013 (since 2016 as its deputy chairman) and in the editorial board of the publication series "Eichsfeld-Jahrbuch" (since 2016 as its editor).

Torsten W. Müller has headed the cultural and historical Eichsfeld Museum since 2015 and is director of the municipal museums in Heilbad Heiligenstadt. He is the author of numerous publications on the cultural and contemporary history of Central Germany and the Eichsfeld.
