Torsten Gerry Wadman (born June 30, 1947 in Fryksände ) is a former Swedish biathlete .

Torsten Wadman started for Skidklubben Bore from Torsby . He first took part in an international championship in 1971. At the World Championships in Hämeenlinna he was 27th of the individual. The following year, he took part in the 1972 Winter Olympics in Sapporo and finished 49th in the individual race and five in the relay race with Lars-Göran Arwidson , Olle Petrusson and Holmfrid Olsson . In Lake Placid , he came in 34th place at the 1973 Biathlon World Championships . Wadman achieved his greatest success at the Biathlon World Championships in 1974 in Minsk . In the sprint, which was held for the first time at a World Cup, he won the bronze medal behind Juhani Suutarinen and Günter Bartnik . It was the first individual medal for Sweden since Sven Agge won the second individual world championships. In the individual Wadman came in Minsk on 18th place in 1975 he was in Antholz 39th of the individual, 27th of the sprint and Arvidsson, Petrusson and Sune Adolfsson seventh in the relay race. The following year Wadman was able to take part in the Winter Olympics again in Innsbruck and was used again in both races. In the individual he was 48th, with Mats-Åke Lantz , Adolfsson and Arvidsson he was eighth in the relay race. At the world championships in the not yet Olympic sprint, Wadman also finished 48 in Antholz.
