course

The source of the Totenbach is located near Arzting on the eastern slope of the Scheuerberg at around 435 meters above sea level. After crossing the embankment of the Plattling – Bayerisch Eisenstein railway and federal highway 11 in a westerly direction, the creek flows almost half of its total length of approx. 2.3 km almost parallel to the Kollbach . It flows into this on the left between the Tiefenbacher Mühle and the hamlet of Kleintiefenbach.

The only noteworthy tributary is the Arztinger Bach (length approx. 2.1 km, source height approx. 689 meters above sea level), which still flows into the Totenbach on the right in Arzting.
