Hartmut Vorjohann

Hartmut Vorjohann (born June 4, 1963 in Harsewinkel , North Rhine-Westphalia) is a German politician ( CDU ) and has been Minister of State for Finance of the Free State of Saxony since December 20, 2019 .

In 2005 Vorjohann became a member of the CDU .

Vorjohann studied in Marburg and is a graduate economist and graduate political scientist. 1992 to 2000 he worked in the city administration of Leipzig, u. a. as head of the finance department. Vorjohann was the assistant for finances and real estate in Dresden from 2003 to 2016. During this time, the city of Dresden paid off its debts of 784 million euros by selling the city's own housing company Woba for 1.7 billion euros. From 2017 to 2019 he was councilor for education and youth in the state capital.

On December 20, 2019, Vorjohann was appointed Minister of State for Finance in the Kretschmer II cabinet .

Vorjohann is married and has two children.
