Toyomichi Kurita

Toyomichi Kurita ( Japanese 栗 田 豊 通 , Kurita Toyomichi ; * 1950 in Japan ) is a Japanese cameraman .

Life

Toyomichi Kurita worked as an assistant camera for Tatsuo Suzuki . He went to the United States and studied at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles , where he graduated in 1981. He then worked as a cameraman for commercials before making his debut as the cameraman in charge of the 1985 crime drama Trouble in Mind, directed by Alan Rudolph . At the presentation of the Independent Spirit Awards in 1986 , he was awarded the best camera for this. Two other nominations, for Wild Years in Paris and Two Cheyenne on the Highway , were to follow in 1989 and 1990, respectively.
