Reviews

Roger Ebert wrote in the Chicago Sun-Times on March 21, 1986 that the film had a place in memories. It is not a comedy, but it is funny what he is aware of. It wasn't a fantasy either, but some things would suggest it. He doesn't play in the 1940s, but the characters would dress and talk accordingly as they did during that period.

Film-Dienst wrote that the film set "in an imaginary end-time city" offers an "atmospherically unusually densely staged, excellently photographed and played homage to the" Lonely Guy "of the modern western and the erotic, lascivious and violent mood of" film noir " "."
