Albert Hall (born November 10, 1937 in Brighton , Alabama ) is an American actor .

Life

Albert Hall gained his first acting experience with the Richmond Shepard Mime Troup in the late 1960s before graduating from New York's Columbia University School of the Arts in 1971 . In the same year he starred in the off-Broadway play The Basic Training of Pavlo Hummel , followed by the Broadway musical Ain't Supposed to Die a Natural Death .

Albert Hall had his first supporting role in a movie in When Night Gets in Manhattan . He made his debut in a Hollywood production in 1979 in Apocalypse Now . So far, Albert Hall has appeared in around 70 television productions and films. His better-known roles include The Fabulous Baker Boys , Malcolm X , the Devil in Blue , Human Child with Thandie Newton and Danny Glover, and from 1998 to 2002 as Judge Seymour Walsh on the television series Ally McBeal .

Albert Hall has guest-starred on television series such as Matlock , The Practice , 24 , Shadow of Passion , Sleeper Cell , Grey's Anatomy, and more.
