The Trüebsee , also Trübsee , is a mountain lake on the Alp Ober Trüebsee at an altitude of 1764 m above sea level. M. in Central Switzerland , between the municipality of Engelberg and Mount Titlis in the canton of Nidwalden , near the Jochpass, 2207 m above sea level. M. The Ober Trüebsee-Jochpass region in the municipality of Wolfenschiessen is a touristic alpine area.
geography
The Alpflur lies on the Ober Trüebsee high plateau on a layer of the Titlis- Reissend Nollen - Jochstock massif, and breaks off with the Gerschniberg to the Gerschni (around 1250 m above sea level ).
The lake has an area of 0.3 km², a volume of 850,000 m³ and a depth of 9 meters. The lake first drains underground, then via the Trüebenbach via Unter Trüebsee to the Engelberger Aa . The only tributary is the Trüebseebach, which rises from the Titlis glacier .
tourism
The Trüebsee is a hiking destination in summer and part of the 4-lake hike . In winter it is part of the ski area. The route Engelberg – Trüebsee – Jochpass is part of the old Säumerweg Sbrinz route from Lucerne to Domodossola .
The Jochpass can be reached with the Titlis-Rotair-Bahn from Engelberg via Gerschnialp, from Trüebsee another section leads to Stand ( 2450 m above sea level ), and from there to the Little Titlis. From Unter Trüebsee you can take the Älplerseil cable car .
