Trachslau is a quarter within the political municipality of Einsiedeln with around 1200 inhabitants in the Swiss canton of Schwyz .
Trachslau is located southwest of Einsiedeln on the Alp river . The place was first mentioned in a document in 1331 as Trechsellum . During the march controversy in 1308 on the war mat, the southernmost home of Trachslau, a dispute between the Schwyzers and the soldiers of the monastery should have taken place.
The Benedictine monastery Au is located on the Jakobspilgerweg between Einsiedeln and Trachslau.
