Willerzell is a neighborhood in the municipality of Einsiedeln in Switzerland .

Willerzell is first mentioned in a document as Vilercella in a letter from 1319 . The name is interpreted as a small monastic settlement with a small church in a hamlet. It is said to have been a settlement of forest brothers who successfully imitated the life of the first inhabitants of the monastery around Abbot Eberhard in the forests of the Sihl valley in the 11th century.

In Willerzell, the Swiss composer Artur Beul wrote his most famous songs as a young teacher, such as 'Stägeli uf, Stägeli ab', 'Übre Gotthard flüged Bräme' and others.
