The Transcaucasus Front ( Russian Закавказский фронт Sakawkasski front ) was the name for a large unit of the Red Army during the Second World War .

The Transcaucasus Front was first formed on August 23, 1941 from the Transcaucasian Military District . The associations were involved in the Anglo-Soviet invasion of Iran , which lasted from August 25, 1941 to September 17, 1941. The association existed until December 30, 1941, when it was renamed the Caucasus Front. At the beginning of May 1942 the front was divided into the Crimean Front and the Transcaucasian Military District. The Transcaucasian Military District formed a Transcaucasian Front for the second time on May 15, 1942. On August 25, 1945, the front was disbanded as an association and transformed into the Tbillisier military district.
