The Trenholm Point is an ice-covered headland at the Ruppert Coast of the West Antarctic Marie Byrd lands . It is located 13 km northwest of Eldred Point and marks the northern end of a peninsula between the Holcomb and El Sayed glaciers .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1959 to 1965. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the headland in 1972 after William L. Trenholm, a glaciologist in three Antarctic summer campaigns at Byrd Station between 1967 and 1970.
