The country Bay is an ice-covered bay at the Ruppert Coast of the West Antarctic Marie Byrd lands immediately east of Groves Iceland . The Strauss Glacier flows into the eastern section of this bay.
It was discovered during the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939–1941). It is named after Emory Scott Land (1879–1971), Rear Admiral of the United States Navy and Chairman of the United States Maritime Commission , after which the Land Glacier is named.
